A few weeks ago the sony vaio mentioned above started freezing. I guessed it maybe overheating and so sent it away to a vaio repair center. They had a look and said it was down to the Hard Disk, so they have replaced it and sent it back. Already it has started freezing. So i decided to update the BIOS to Version R0121K5 from the VAIO-Link site. It applied ok, it turned itself off, i then turned it on and restored default settings and saved changes. The only problem is that now it will do its post and i can access the bios but as soon as it gets to the stage of booting it does nothing. So i cant boot from HDD, FDD, or CD i have changed boot orders and even tried a network boot. Any idea's. I cant flash it again as i cannot get to boot from anything. Any ideas? Could really do with some urgent help.

Thanks....

hmmm, this sounds like a propoer support case - i'd say that your initial problem was not fixed by VAIO Link this is what I would tell them. Honestly i would leave my fingers off fixing bios etc.

I am not sure if this forum is the right place to get help for this kind of problems.

Good luck with it
