      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;hi, &lt;BR /&gt;at the moment my viao is having a new screen fitted. so i am using my car computer in doors. &lt;BR /&gt;it only has usb 1.1 so i got a  4 port, usb 2.0 pcmcia card. so i can use my dvd-rw. the computer finds the pcmcia card and it finds anythink i run using it. but i tryed to write data to the dvd-rw  and it wont work. i pluged the dvd-rw into the usb 1.1 and it worked fine. &lt;BR /&gt;does anyone have any idears what could be wrong apart from a faulty pcmcia card.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;spider.s3&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Spider,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;most external powered devices are a bit picky about working with pcmcia usb cards.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;you could try adding a power supply to the pcmcia card, it might work.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;HTH&lt;BR /&gt;Brian&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
