Depending on the reader model you have you should be able to purchase an AC Adapter for your Reader, if you have a PRS-T1 then sony offer a PRSA-AC1A (http://www.sony.co.uk/product/rda-other-reader-accessories/prsa-ac1a) but shop around you may find it cheaper..

And don't forget to invest in a decent AC adaptor to enable you to plug-in in the country you're visiting (also handy for the hairdryer etc...! )

As Thalamus points out, a google or search around will provide plenty of reasonable options, nothing desperately heroic is needed.
