    <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hello!&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I am looking for a wireless microphone for my Sony HDR-UX3 camcorder.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;From what I have seen on the Sony website it is compatible with the ECM-HW1 (which is no longer in production).&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I assume that it has been replaced by the ECM-HW2 which does not mention the Sony HDR-UX3 in the compatible devices.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I do find it hard to believe as my camcorder does have an Active Interface Shoe connector; and there are many older cameras which are supported.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Or do I really need to hunt down a ECM-HW1 &lt;img class="lia-deferred-image lia-image-emoji" src="https://community.sony.ie/html/@8A5BDCECEE2E5AB683F2BDAA500F2036/images/smilies/035.png" alt=":slight_frown:" title=":slight_frown:" /&gt; ?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
