Can’t change apature on rx10m3 in A

I am new to the RX10m3.
I am trying to change the aperture. I have put the dial on A. If I turn the the aperture wheel the F number does not change but I do get a change of number to the right and left of this on the display.
Also looking for book or course online to learn about photography related to this camera for a beginner. Ideas welcome

Hi blue4dolphin,

You'll find some advice about Aperture Priority (A) here. Not sure what set up you are using but it says that you can only change the aperture if the focal length of the lens allows for it. You may also find some of the general photography tips here useful.
