Hi,

As the 'smartphone' function does not work on the RX10M4 I am looking for a wireless remote to use with wildlife photography. Has anyone had success with one and if so which?

according to this chart, the RMT-VP1K should be compatbile.

Thanks Nic, yes it looks very much like it although it still suffers from the limited range of an IR device. That's about 15 ~ 20 feet at best. I've sent for a Pixel TW-283 wireless remote which, besides having rather more functions (albeit not as much as a smartphone with PlayMemoriesHome!) has a range of about 80 meters (260 feet). I'll try that and publish the results.

For info to all; My Pixel TW283/S2 arried today from Amazon and works perfectly with the RX10M4.

I have the Pixel 283 RX left over from my RX10 iii and it works fine on the Mark iv

Did you have to buy a special cable for the RX10? I have the TW-283 which I used with both Canon and Fuji but it won't work with my Mklv?

Resolved, need a Pixel DC3.5-S2 cable for the MklV
