DSC-H400 camera

I have the following error on my camera at startup C:\ColdData.bin error Update FW which I guess a binary file failure? Is there a Firmware upgrade or the original Firmware available to replace the corrupted version?

If so can I have the link for download

Та же самая проблема, вижу никак Sony не хочет её решать. Неужели сложно выложить заводскую прошивку.

The same problem, do you see any way Sony doesn't want to solve it. Really hard to upload factory firmware.

I have the solution: Never again in your life buy again cameras Sony. They do not have any information on the webpage to fix this ***** problem. there aren't anything about installing a ***** firmware.

Hi @sonysuck and welcome to the Community

Ouch.

Also welcome @yorksandlincs and @vladkosmosov

You could try removing the battery, switching the camera to 'on'

and then leave it for 24 hours before reinserting the battery.

As the camera will have had all power drained it will ask you to set up time, date etc. again

and see if that helps.

If not I'm afraid it will need a repair and you'll have to contact Sony Support.

No solution from Sony

Independent repairer says they can fix but at higher cost than second hand replacement.

Why can't Sony supply a fix?
