Picture transfer Sony NEX-5R

Hi everyone

I have just bought a used Sony NEX-5R camera mostly because of to the possibility of wireless picture transfer via WIFI. However, I cannot seem to get it to work.

I have downloaded the SONY PlayMemories Online-app from Apple App Store (https://apps.apple.com/dk/app/playmemories-online/id401597656) on my iPhone 8.

When activating WIFI picture sharing on the camera, I go to WIFI-settings in order to login to the camera WIFI. After this, I open the SONY app. From there, nothing happens on the phone. On the camera, it says "sharing...". I have tried almost everything - including making sure that the iPhone is still connected to the wifi - nothing happens.

Anyone experiencing the same issue?

PlayMemories Mobile/Online is the old app. You should use the newer, more polished Imaging Edge Mobile app instead. Here's the direct link from Sony's website: https://support.d-imaging.sony.co.jp/app/iemobile/en/
