Sony!?! What's up with that?

Give it to us, please!

It's already in the camera when moving the focus frame around with the touch screen. Let's just have the option to turn it on all the time.

Why is it taking so loooong?? Do you have ANY idea how many shots have been missed because of that??

It's pretty much the only thing missing that has a direct impact on the resulting images. The closing of the shutter when changing lenses is fine and all, and the users that have just gotten that in an update are probably duly happy about it, but stuff like that has no influence on image quality, nailing the shot, workflow, or anything like that. Being able to locate the focus frame in an instant does.

This message board is ridiculous. There's no one with any actual insight here. This is a forum of users and then people appointed with being moderators, but only along the lines as you'll find anywhere else on the web.

Anyone hoping this is a possible way to actually get in touch with anyone "at Sony" or even just SOMEONE with any answers beyond those to "How do I turn Eye-AF on?" type questions will wither away and die, because that's just not gonna happen.

This is the second time I'm just left hanging. By the same moderator no less. Other moderators could step in and share some info, but I'm not gonna hold my breath ...

Come on!! Just make it optional to let it be on always or not. It's there when I use the touch screen to move it, but not when using the thumbstick. The touchscreen is pretty much useless solution/tool, so that's not the way to go about it. At the very least, just let it be activated when moving the thumbstick. Preferably is should be active all the time so we don't have to search for it in the first place like in the series IV and A9 cameras, but AT LEAST just activate the current version for the thumbstick too. At the very least!! Please!!!

Thanks, Joe. I have written them through many channels.

And now they're just mocking us with the release of the A7C. Have you all noticed?
It has the coloured focus frame! And the camera is based on the A7III and shares it's menu system ...
So they obviously have the actual bit of code that we need to get it. They have the code, and they know exactly where it goes in the system ... and still ... no friggin' update.

It's not like Canon's cripple hammer ... it's more like a Sony system piranha, that just randomly bites into something and leaves it disabled in the system.

SONY, for PETE's sake!! COME OOOOON!!!
