A99V boots in manual focus mode

My a99V has recently begun to boot in Manual Focus mode.

I do not believe I have changed any settings.

Manual and Auto focus mode both functions OK.

So do everything else as far as I have found out.

Can anyone please give me a hint how to fix this annoying issue

usually both the camera body and the lens have a mechanical switch where you can disable auto-focus.

Check if these switches are set to "AF".

I totally agree with IamNic. If it's not the actual switch, I'd say reset the camera to the factory settings. The steps are on page 47 of the manual: https://www.sony.co.uk/electronics/support/res/manuals/4436/44362471M.pdf
