Lens advice

I own the Sony a7iii and a7riii ... I must get round to unboxing the a7riii, actually 🤦🏽‍♂️

I want to add a second lens, currently have the 70-200 f/2.8 GM.

Been thinking of adding the 24-70 but cannot decide if I should buy the GM or the Tamron. Yes the GM is a lot of money, but is it worth the extra £1k?

Alternatively, what else should I consider?

The 70-200 is a great all round lens for what I shoot - events, portraits. I miss not having the wider focal length, which is why I’m thinking 24-70. At some point I’ll add the 85GM and wide angle zoom.

Suggestions appreciated.
