A7R IVa record button NOT customizable?

Is the record button NOT customizable? I use my camera to take pictures (no movies) and I can't find a way to program the red record button to some useful function. It's just dead. I think it's time for a firmware update!!!! Come on SONY!!!!!!

Thanks. I have customized my A7RIVa inside and out.... Its just the idea of a "wasted" button that keeps me awake at night....;)

To SONY: "Can we photographers get an update so we can use (customize) the RECORD button in photo-mode for something useful instead of having a "dead" red dot? PLEASE." Send it today. Well....we'll see if they listen.
