Should IBIS work with A7II and Sony 90mm macro?

My body tells me IBIS does not work and has a forever blinking shakey camera icon on my screen to remind me. I bought both new. I only have these two so can't swap things over. I've always thought it was just "tut! typical garbage" there was an incompatibility between the two, but now I'm wondering if something is broken instead.

How you understand that steady shot is not working??

If you use a lens with integrated optical stabilisation (as the 90mm) the ibis is powered off to use the one in the lens.

Have you switched off also the switch on the lens?

I agree with @danardeng on the image stabilization point.

But also, make sure that the camera is updated to the latest firmware version Ver.4.01: (Window) (Mac)
