Android 11 NFC not working

After update, when i try to enable NFC connection from the shortcut panel, it doesn't work!! Even when i enable the NFC connection from Settings Menu, the pictogram isn't on like Bluetooth for example.

Please fix it!

Yeh, NFC is now only selectable from the Settings - Connections page where wifi and bluetooth are.

Been that way since 10, well on my Xperia at least it was removed last version for the settings selection.

Just like the Portable Hotspot tile.

It's a Google policy that is has disappeared from the quick settings menu.

Remarkable that both NFC and Portable Hotspot disappeared and that Portable Hotspot was re-introduced in Android 11.

Time for a tip:

- on the home screen long press.

- in the menu tap Widgets

- scroll down to settings

- you will find a menu named Settings shortcut

- choose what you like to have as a shortcut on your homescreen

- NFC is not included in this list 😞

The good news is that NFC is nearer than it seems at first sight.

- long press the Bluetooth tile

- tap the Connection preferences

- there you will find the NFC toggle

You may have noticed that the long press on the Bluetooth tile shows a lot of Bluetooth information.

The same applies to the WiFi tile.

Long press it and you will find all WiFi spots around you. (when you have a little patience)

In fact every tile is a shortcut to the settings in the Settings menu.

My xperia 10II does not send photos or anything by NFC other than the tag is not valid, I have android 10 !! The same thing happens to someone, how is it solved?

Hello,

I appreciate your response, but in 2021 i want a simple touch for opening an app or a service.

Not to keep touching the NFC, enter in the settings menu etc.

In Samsung phones, Google didn't this policy.

However, I hope they will fix this.

Hi there, try to do the NFC test from the support app on the device and check if it will pass or not.

If the test passed, try to enable your device on safe mode and check if it will work or not ?

Great device, crap software and shameless responses from so called 'users' and 'care' when in fact they only have the jpeg of the phone, not in million years the device and understanding it and helping true fans. Fake fans and outsiders with hearts filled with sublime mercy!
