xperia xz1 compact fake?

I've just bought an xperia xz1 compact from ebay. It was new, sealed in box and not silly cheap, so seemed a safe bet. The seller included the original sales invoice, which was from China (he didn't mention this), so I am now suspicious.

Is there a known problem with this model being copied?

A few things make me suspicious: The edges of the end cheeks are bare metal. The printing on the box is slightly different to other boxes I see on ebay. The included paperwork does not match that shown on "unboxing" videos on utube. The IMEI number checks out, but I don't think that is reliable.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Being suspicious is good.

Check IMEI ,check @Sony as well.

If you can return the device, do so, even without opening.

Buy your stuff nearby.

A place where you can return to for warranty.
