Xperia M2 replacment no google services

After wating 7 weeks for a replacement phone, i finaly recieved it today.

Turned it on and there is no google services and no web browser on it.

I have looked in the app draw, it not there, not disabled or turned off, its not there.

Software is up to date, i have been through the pc repair tool, alls fine apparantley.

What is going on with a company the size of sony, that can be so incompetent?

Absolutely shocking service, im only 9 months into a contract and its taken 7 WEEKS TO GET A REPLACEMENT THAT DOESNT WORK!

Contacted live chat, send it in for repair.

You couldnt make this up!

Is there anyone on here that can suggest what is wrong with this so called brand new replacement unit without having to send it back and wait another 7 weeks without a phone im paying for evey month?????

Probably a chinese version of software, usually those lack google stuff on them.

I had deuced its prob a foreign handset.

But as your a mod.

How has it ended up in my possesion?

How can someone be so inept as to send it to me without checking it?

what the do i do with it?

Send it back, is the answer i got.

After waiting 7 weeks, send it back is the answer they can come up with.

Its criminal when paying a monthly fee for a phone contract to be treated in this way.

Im assuming no download/setting fix then?

If i did my job as badly as the guy who "checked" this phone before sending it id be on the dole.

I guess you could try to flash a european firmware on it,not sure if it will be helpful though. What do you think @Thommo?

Depends on what model number it is - Settings then about phone but the only M2 to have China firmware is the Dual version D2302/S50h

Strange how you have no Google services installed but is an easy fix if you want to manaully flash your device, If you don't know how then if you are willing I could remote network and do this for you but it will take a while to download and create the firmware

Some say it may be void some say not - I'm in the not camp as your bootloader isn't unlocked and doesn't need to be - All we are doing is installing the firmware

So if you want me to do this then install Teamviewer then send me a private message with your ID and Password then simply have a note pad open so I can let you know when and how to connect your phone
