experia m2 phone dead

only had this phone a week and its just dead. it was working fine one minute then screen went blank ive tried turning it on but its not responsive , tried leaving it on charge over night still nothing there is still a red light flashing but when its plugged in to the charger its not doing anything tired the on button and volume up but nothing help? or will i have to go back to carphone warehouse ?

Have you dropped your phone or exposed it to water?

does it has a protective film or case that might be blocking the proximity sensor?

nope never been exposed to water.it hasnt got a case on it but it has a protective layer on the screen ?

Remove it as it could be blocking the proximity sensor.

still just flashes red doesnt stay on constant or say its charging

This is what I would do

Remove both SIM and SD cards > connect the phone to a wall charger > press and hold power & volume up for 15 seconds > let the phone charge for 3 hours

omg thank you so so so much!! its come back on its says its 91 % should i just leave it for 3 hours anyways then put the sim card and sd card back in ?

Guys

Please could you assist me. I have the same problem but even when I plug my M2 aqua into a charger, not even a light comes on. I tried doing the volume and power button and the off button by the sd slot. WHat else can I do
