Can't answer call from notification bar

When I'm using my phone and a call comes in the call appears as a mini notification bar at the top, as explained in the guide. However I am not able to answer the call through this! Please help, I don't get many calls but I want to be able to answer those I do receive! It works fine if phone is inactive and the full screen comes up. Thanks.

Can you check if the same occurs in safe mode?

Just click on the blue writing to see. Or if you still have problems booting in safe mode, press power button and tap longer on turn off. A message pops up with safe mode.

I turned off and when it turned on updated android (I think) and it now works. Thanks.
