topic Sd card corrupted in C Series

Sd card corrupted

I got notification on my c5 ultra that a new software update available on sony companion. So i update my phone to software version 29.2.A.0.166 using companion on my laptop. After the update all is well except on my sd card which read as corruted. I have tried messaging sony about it but they can't figure out how to solve it. Our conversations went like i dont know if they're reading my messages well. They advice me to reformat it. I've already told that. I'm not a moron not to do it. Thats the first instruction on the phone itself. Hope someone can help me solve it.

When i updated my smartphone to Marshmallow (...129) i had problem with SD card too. The only way which i tried and helped me is format SD card (straight in smartphone or PC). The same as i understand advised you Sony support. If you don't want to do that, it's yours decision, but i think there is no other way To do copy from SD card to computer and then format SD card is not so hard, so it's depend you... then question is one: why you can't format yours SD card?

Thats the 1st thing i did was Format my sd card as the phone instructed. I'd already told that im my first inquiry. That i did forrmat my sd card. Then on 3rd reply they instructed to format my sd card. Thats why I'd ask them if they read my full inquiry .got it?

As i siad format it's the only way to restore SD card, if you tried and still SD card is corrupted, i advise you just try to use other SD card. By the way which SD card you using?

For me worked format, so it's hard to say what you did with it

I am also having SD card corrupted issue after this update.
